Erythrodontia is the hallmark of human congenital erythropoietic porphyria (CEP), but is also a major phenotypic feature of acute intermittent porphyria (AIP) in cats.

Cats with autosomal dominant AIP presented with erythrodontia, yellow-brown urine and mild changes in erythrocytes.
